Trevor (alias "Spanner") is a musician and a member of The Mill Cats and The Catstone Collective on the island. 

There are regular open folk music sessions across Arran, at the Catacol Bay Hotel, Catacol (Tuesday evenings), the Ormidale Hotel, Brodick (Sunday & Wednesday evenings), the Kildonan Hotel, Kildonan (Monday evenings), the Eden Lodge Hotel, Whiting Bay (Tuesday evenings), the McLaren Hotel, Brodick (Thursday evenings), and the Corrie Hotel, Corrie (every alternate Thursday). There is also a week long folk festival on the island in June each year.

If you want to bring an instrument and join in at the sessions, or to just come and watch, you will not be disappointed. Players of all musical styles and ability are welcome.
